Rio Rapids hosts ECNL tryout with Carolina Rapids

On Sunday August 27th Rio Rapids hosted Stephen Glass of the Carolina Rapids to train and observe players from the club. Invited players (aged in the 00, 01, 02, 03, 04 & 05 age groups) received an hour long training session with Stephen followed by an 11v1 game.

The goal of the weekend was for players to be potentially identified as future “Discovery Players” for the Carolina Rapids teams for the 2017/18 season.

Last season Rio Rapids successfully partnered with SC Del Sol out of Phoenix and had players join their teams for games and national events within the ECNL.

As a club Rio is committed to always finding as many opportunities as possible for its players and will continue to develop partnerships/relationships with clubs across the country to allow this to happen.
