Phoenix Cup Champions – Rio Rapids 99/00G Burgundy

Congratulations to the team and coach Mario Romero on their first championship victory! Playing in the platinum division the girls went 3-1 overall for the weekend only giving up 3 goals. In the final against a very strong Cal South team (who had previously beaten Burgundy in the tournament) a pk shootout was required to split the two and it was Burgundy who came out on top with a 5-4 win!  A big shout out also to our friends at SC Del Sol in Phoenix who helped out with a couple of invaluable guest players.
