Rio Rapids Soccer Club is excited to announce Mike Erwin as the new Girls U13-U14 Director.
Having grown up in Albuquerque playing youth soccer and has been a youth coach for over 12 years. One of Mikes first soccer jobs is was in Rio Vista F.C. working in our soccer school and now some 11 years later mike is rejoining the club.
Mike earned his bachelors degree in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of New Mexico and holds a USSF National C License and Youth License.
“Many times things come full circle. I am excited to return to Rio Rapids Soccer Club. I believe their player development and college search program is second to none. I am excited to utilize my 10+ years of coaching experience to continue to help Rio Rapids grow to not only a top program regionally but nationally. I look forward to learning from the vastly experienced coaches staff at Rio Rapids and their parent club Colorado Rapids.”
Girls U15-U19 Director Chris Brennan States “As a club we are delighted to add Mike to our full time coaching staff. He brings a high level of coaching expertise but also a competitiveness and desire to be successful that is energizing to his players and fellow coaches. Mike will compliment the current Rio director group extremely well and he will become an integral part of the club as we continue to push and develop all players and staff to a higher level. “
Mike will begin work for Rio Rapids on July 1st.
