Presents GA Season Plans

Over the weekend of August 7th/8th Rio Rapids held their first Girls Academy (GA) League Kick-Off weekend. Players from the 08GA and 09GA teams attended the weekend and joined in presentations, discussions and small group activities as the GA staff presented the season plans. Goal setting for the groups, player expectations and a club wide style of play were all discussed. The players also got to play in a corn hole competition, play soccer tennis and enjoy a lunch together before heading to the fields for a 6v6 tournament. In addition whilst the teams got to train Rio’s GA Director, Chris Brennan, shared the presentation and discussion items with the parent group as well.

It was a fantastic start to what we all hope will be a history making season for Rio Rapids female players.
