He has overseen the creation and development of several youth academies in the state and implementation of cutting edge curriculum over the past few 12 years. This development and training has encompassed all ages, from U4 through the colligate level. Will has been a trusted colligate camp director over the past 10 years, providing critical insight for several colligate programs. His curriculum is based on the newest player development modules available to USSF. “Why I like working with the youth academy is there are no wrong answers. It is about development, learning, and growing, using soccer as the mechanism to be a good citizen.”
Will was born in southern California, where he built his concept of soccer, bringing that love and unique perspective to Albuquerque as a senior for La Cueva High School, and then as an Aggie at New Mexico State University. In 2003 Will partnered in the formation of Rio Grande Engineering, one of the most successful civil engineering firms in New Mexico. His most cherished component of playing and coaching, is the development of life-long relationships on and off the field, with both players and families. He is enthusiastic to incorporate the Colorado Rapids concepts and experience with his vast knowledge of the game to provide New Mexico players with the highest level of player development. Will is thankful to work with and learn from the largest and most successful staff in New Mexico.
